5/23, 11:30 am – O.W.L.S. Lunch at Presbyterian Homes Bistro

The O.W.L.S. will meet for lunch at Presbyterian Homes on Wednesday, May 23rd at 11:30 a.m.

We will be dining at the Bistro and ordering off their menu. Our members who live there will be able to join us. The Bistro is located just to the right inside the front door.

Anyone needing a ride or having questions should call Donna [472-1161] or Betty Ann [472-3126]. There will be a sign-up sheet at church so we know approximately how many will be there.

Adopt a Highway – May 26th

Adopt a Highway - May 26th

Mark your calendars for Saturday May 26th, 8:30 am to walk, talk and pick up trash along our main street in Mound. St. John’s holds the honor of keeping the two mile stretch between the Gillespie Center and 151 in good shape and it is called “Adopt a Highway”.

Join the parish nurse in this endeavor and it promises to be a fun event the family. You get to wear a neon DOT vest and plan on meeting in the Gillespie Parking. Bring gloves and plastic bags will be provided. If it rains, we will reschedule. Plan on doughnuts and coffee for all, after we finish the work of course.

Vacation Bible School, June 11-14, 2012

All children 3 years old – 4^th grade are invited to join us for this year’s Sky VBS. At Sky, kids will discover that, “everything is possible with God”! Children will meet new friends, participate in amazing experiments, play wild games, enjoy incredible music and have other surprising adventures!

It will be held Monday – Thursday, June 11-14, 20121 from 9 am – noon.

To register, simply download the registration form from our website (registration forms are also available at the church office).

In order to make this a successful week we are looking for youth and adult volunteers to join our VBS team. If you are interested in helping, please contact Cathie Samuelson at cathiesamuelson@stjohnsofmound.org !
