Worship & Music

Worship

Join us for Worship held on Sundays at 9:00 AM & 10:45 AM and on Wednesdays at 7:00 PM, with time for fellowship, coffee & treats after each service.  Our worship services are where we gather to give our thanks and praise to God.  We come to be fed by God’s Word, by Holy Communion and through fellowship with one another.

Our Sunday 9:00 AM service follows the Lutheran liturgy and you will likely experience our choirs, handbells, organ, and piano music.  Holy Communion is served at all services each week.

Our Sunday 10:45 AM service is led by piano, percussion and a song leader.  The music serves the word of God and is more contemporary in nature but also includes Lutheran hymnody including global music.  Holy Communion is at all services each week.

Our Wednesday 7:00 PM service is led by a contemporary worship band using guitar, bass, and drums with vocalists.  Holy Communion is at all services each week.

Music in Worship

Music plays a significant and special role during worship at St. John’s.  We lift our voices in song, and our spirits are lifted as well.  There are many opportunities for congregation members to participate in music, with a Chancel Choir, Children’s Choirs, Bell Choirs, special music ensembles, and individual special music.
